The Desire for the Journey

We walk the paths in the journey of our artistic lives. It doesn't matter how far a person has gone, or if even if the way has been lost, as long as the passion, the love and the joy are still there we believe that every moment is a step forward. The desire to keep walking is all that matters and all that is required.

Empty Your Cup

We believe in humbling oneself, putting the ego aside, and always keeping an open mind. It does not matter how much a person learns or how much his or her skill has developed, there is always a chance to learn something new even from the most novice seeming.

The teacup is the symbol of Itadaki. The only way to taste the tea of another person is to empty your cup.

Film: Bridge to Teribithia

Postby Eileanach on Mon Jun 30, 2008 1:27 am

Recently I've been watching some live action Disney films and this one stood out from the crowd as possibly one of the best formulated live action Disney films of the modern nature.

It's about a boy who doesn't fit in with his family or his school life and when a new girl starts at the school he and she become great friends. Now this does sound like a typical Disney film but it has one small difference, it has some highly emotional scenes and is quite different from any other Disney film I've seen. I don't know many modern Disney films that deal so openly with the concepts it has dealt with and makes it so realistic.

I think it is a brilliant film and I was wondering if anyone else has seen it and feels the same way or slightly different about it?

Didn't know that was a Disney made film. I usually like Disney live action movies. I haven't seen that movie though, but now I'll keep in mind next time I feel like watching something.

Yeah it's quite a surprising live action one though. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, although I went in with really low opinions of it, just goes to show you, you cannot judge something by a really poor description.

I read the book it was based on. I feel that the movie didn't follow the book very well, but it got the key points right and it was still good.

The book almost made me cry. It really did. Read it your self and you will cry too.
We are complacient when we get what we want. We rebel when we do not have our way, like children fighting over the petiest of things. We are all greedy dogs whether we like it or not.

I agree completely.
It was an okay movie, but the book is waaay better. And I totally did cry when I read it. Unfortunately I was reading it at school at the time... I was kind of embarrassed there.
Anyway, good movie, better book.
