The Desire for the Journey

We walk the paths in the journey of our artistic lives. It doesn't matter how far a person has gone, or if even if the way has been lost, as long as the passion, the love and the joy are still there we believe that every moment is a step forward. The desire to keep walking is all that matters and all that is required.

Empty Your Cup

We believe in humbling oneself, putting the ego aside, and always keeping an open mind. It does not matter how much a person learns or how much his or her skill has developed, there is always a chance to learn something new even from the most novice seeming.

The teacup is the symbol of Itadaki. The only way to taste the tea of another person is to empty your cup.

The Itadaki Forum is all about cultivating this.

Free PS3!

Postby Azrael on Thu Jun 18, 2009 10:04 pm

Okay, so I've been wanting a PS3 ever since SF4 came out. Those of you who have read my posts know that I am trying to go competitive with SF4. That would be difficult without actually owning the game or for that matter the system that plays it.
I'm in the process of trying to acquire one by saving or buying it eventually once I have the funds. Unfortunately as serious as I am about playing SF4 competitively buying a game system is not exactly top priority on the the things I NEED list.

So in the meantime I looked into another way of obtaining a PS3. Many of you have probably seen these things and just skipped them, thinking they don't work or for whatever other reason. It's those get a free ipod or xbox360 or wii offers. I've always passed on them since the idea of signing for something just really puts me off, as well as the idea of spending time and effort to try to get referrals. If I didn't want a PS3 so bad I probably would've passed again. This time I tried it, I thought what do I have to lose. It's actually fairly simple. The toughest part it seems is getting 10 other people to do the same.

I think this really works, and it's not a scam. The whole marketing ploy makes sense. Chevi used to work with someone who did this to acquire some of his gadgets, and it worked for him. So here's what I did, and anyone who is interested or just curious can do as well.

1. I went to this website: http://www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=5938438

This of course is the link to the site through my referral page. If you do decide to do this please use that link. Since it's the way I get the free PS3.
When you sign up for the site it has the option to choose a points account or referrals. I did referrals since the fastest and easiest way to do it.

2. I signed up for an offer. There are level A and level B offers. With level A offers all you have to do is sign up for one offer. With level B offers you have to sign up for 50 points or credits worth of offers, so some offers give 2 to 150. I look through all the offers to see if there were any where I didn't have to spend any money. There were a total of 3, but they didn't add up to 50 points so it was useless.
So I just signed up for Gamefly. Since I play games anyway, and I've kind of been curious about it in the past. Also it's only $8.95 to sign up. Which is nothing compare to a $400 ps3, plus It's actually useful for me.

Each offer has different requirements in order for you to get credit for the offer. For Gamefly for example I had to sign up for the $8.95 special offer and then put a game in que (basically rent a game, which you should do anyway since you paid for the service). You have to stay with the service for at least 14 days otherwise you account will close. So I plan to try Gamefly for a few weeks and then cancel instead of going into next month where I have to pay $15.95 a month for the service.

I pretty much got my credit for signing up after I put a game in my gameQ (que) to rent.

So basically you just use my link to sign up for the page, fill out an offer, and try to get 8 to 14 friends to do the same.

Also if you don't want a PS3 you can get $425 for getting 10 referrals.

So yeah, I've decided to give this thing a whirl, not in lieu of still trying to buy one unless this is successful then there's no more reason to buy one. Anyone who interested and has any questions just post them here, and if there's anyone who has tried this and were successful please let me know.

Ok so after looking more into this and doing some research I found some neat things. Not surprisingly there are forums and communities for these freebies. Some of you may know this, it's called "freebie trading". One forum I stumbled upon is The Freebie Exchange (http://www.thefreebieexchange.com). I picked them because it seemed to be the most newbie friendly and they seem to have a friendly community. I found the site and other sites like this while searching for way to get referrals. I don't think I'm really going to get into the freebie biz but I was thinking I should experiment. I'm going to try to invest a bit of money, about $20 and that's all. I'm going to see how far I can take the 20 bucks. I keep updates on how it goes. Also I will continue this topic on another thread since it's become something else now.
