Welcome
Welcome to Itadaki.

The Desire for the Journey

We walk the paths in the journey of our artistic lives. It doesn't matter how far a person has gone, or if even if the way has been lost, as long as the passion, the love and the joy are still there we believe that every moment is a step forward. The desire to keep walking is all that matters and all that is required.

Empty Your Cup

We believe in humbling oneself, putting the ego aside, and always keeping an open mind. It does not matter how much a person learns or how much his or her skill has developed, there is always a chance to learn something new even from the most novice seeming.

The teacup is the symbol of Itadaki. The only way to taste the tea of another person is to empty your cup.

The Itadaki Forum is all about cultivating this.
We welcome all to be open, to share, and enjoy.

Um... Hello

Postby steelfoot on Sat Feb 21, 2009 11:16 pm

Hi other people on this forum, I don't really know just about anyone here but I'll try to be as nice as I can. I really hope I get along with you all well :3

I really can't say too much about myself; I'm hopefully a nice guy and I'm okay with other people, but I'm quite shy and don't usually appear on forums at all. I critique other peoples' artwork sometimes (though as of now I only do that with one person). I like computers and video games and exploring the world and, for the first time in my life since I was very young, education. College is so much better than high school.

I do draw, but despite the kinda thoughtful and gentle style I give other people when I do critique, I am the single most difficult critic I have ever met. 99.9% of things I draw never make it past planning, and of those an ever smaller amount make it to anything on paper and/or digital file because I simply dislike my own artwork. I'm apparently okay with graphite and on abstract works of art, but humanoids and other things I can't stand myself; I've never properly learned how to draw human figure and can't seem to grasp how it all works. And I'm still trying to get the hang of the pen tablet XP Because of that I'm really here to learn; I really do enjoy drawing even though I have fairly frequent low points.

I'll keep as open a mind as I can and, in advance, I'm really thankful for you putting up with me asking a lot of questions. I don't have any friends here yet but I don't want to make any enemies; I'm sorry if I get annoying or frustrating.

Thanks so much for inviting me to this forum, miss Shizuki--er, Chevi!
