The Desire for the Journey

We walk the paths in the journey of our artistic lives. It doesn't matter how far a person has gone, or if even if the way has been lost, as long as the passion, the love and the joy are still there we believe that every moment is a step forward. The desire to keep walking is all that matters and all that is required.

Empty Your Cup

We believe in humbling oneself, putting the ego aside, and always keeping an open mind. It does not matter how much a person learns or how much his or her skill has developed, there is always a chance to learn something new even from the most novice seeming.

The teacup is the symbol of Itadaki. The only way to taste the tea of another person is to empty your cup.

Trailers or spoilers?

Postby Azrael on Mon Jun 30, 2008 11:36 pm

When I watch a movie or show, I'd like to know as little as possible prior to watching it, or know just enough. In order to get the fullest experience possible and be surprised by as many things as possible. It seems like nowadays trailers have been showing too much. For example with Cloverfield and The Myst the trailers already showed the monsters. That kind of got me a bit peeved. So now with the Dark Knight coming out I'm just not going to risk it so anytime a trailer shows up on TV I'm changing the channel. I've seen enough trailers I think. The problem is there are some things they are doing with the Dark Knight like those viral campaigns that I would like to watch, I don't wanna miss out on all the cool promotional stuff. Anyone feel the same way I do?

I need to agree fully with you. Trailers these days show all the spoilers and all the "best bits" of films so when you go in to the cinema to watch it you see nothing but the stuff you've already seen in the trailers and it does put a damper on the whole experience.

Although when it comes to films I REALLY want to see I just watch teaser trailers to see if it still looks as good as I expected, if so I go and see it and just avoid watching trailers for everything else. :lol:

Just saw a TV spot for Hancock that immediately told me how the entire movie was going to go down. I'll probably not go see it now in theaters because of it. Yes, it is very, very infuriating >.<;;;

I feel the same way, it goes for tv shows or movies I might be interested in. Anything I'm interested in. I don't like reading reviews, or even hearing things other people say, "Oh but it's not a spoiler!" and they try to tell you anyways.
