Welcome
Welcome to Itadaki.

The Desire for the Journey

We walk the paths in the journey of our artistic lives. It doesn't matter how far a person has gone, or if even if the way has been lost, as long as the passion, the love and the joy are still there we believe that every moment is a step forward. The desire to keep walking is all that matters and all that is required.

Empty Your Cup

We believe in humbling oneself, putting the ego aside, and always keeping an open mind. It does not matter how much a person learns or how much his or her skill has developed, there is always a chance to learn something new even from the most novice seeming.

The teacup is the symbol of Itadaki. The only way to taste the tea of another person is to empty your cup.

The Itadaki Forum is all about cultivating this.

{Okay just first and foremost as much as I respect everyone's diverse opinions on the matter, I will not tolerate having this be a extreme bashing thread on the site. If you don't like it, but want to voice your view on the site civilally then by all means do. If you're going to get very whiney about until you become an annoyance, then there's the door =| )

Okay so we might all know about this social networking site known as Twitter.com
I myself have an account on there, username: ghostbane in case anyone was curious, and I find it very easy and versitile to post little snippets on what is going on with my day. Oddly enough it's more accessible than other sites like myspace or facebook, since it's focused on just a sole function. That's my opinion anyway.

So to anyone who has heard about or has a twitter, share your thoughts on it. Is it a good or bad thing? What could be made to improve it? What is it lacking? etc.

I actually like Twitter and find that it can be very useful!

I honestly don't think there's anything to complain about it really. I thought of it as a useful tool for posting art related information, or general things. Like "bought some good ice cream today, it's called so and so..." or "Hey I'll be at this convention, come say hi!" and things like that.

I get alot of random people following me too, but it's a good thing and good networking tool.

yes I agree, for me it's the simplicity and limits it imposes that make it so accessible. For some reason I usually drop things like Facebook or Myspace because it's too many things for me to really keep track of.

It's a fun little tool for letting the world know little snippets about you :3

I use it, but I really hate the character limit sometimes. Because of it, I feel like I need to fill up every post I make or else I'm wasting potential characters.

I occasionally post stupid stuff nobody needs to hear about, but I try to only post interesting stuff. I never post "going to the mall" or something like that (which I have seen a good many people do).

Initially, I only got it to get updates from my favorite band, as well as hear from/talk to one of my friends in another country, but it eventually grew to over 20 people.

I've seen some really gimmicky stuff on there though. It's so easy to get people to advertise for you. Apple has some contest going where you have to post #moonfruit to get a chance to enter, and then everyone that's following you sees that and wonders what it is, then goes and looks it up. It ends up becoming viral advertising of sorts.
