The Desire for the Journey

We walk the paths in the journey of our artistic lives. It doesn't matter how far a person has gone, or if even if the way has been lost, as long as the passion, the love and the joy are still there we believe that every moment is a step forward. The desire to keep walking is all that matters and all that is required.

Empty Your Cup

We believe in humbling oneself, putting the ego aside, and always keeping an open mind. It does not matter how much a person learns or how much his or her skill has developed, there is always a chance to learn something new even from the most novice seeming.

The teacup is the symbol of Itadaki. The only way to taste the tea of another person is to empty your cup.

The Itadaki Forum is all about cultivating this.

Hmmm... in no particular order (music that has influenced me greatly, from my earliest memories and most recent):

1.) Dookie -- Green Day
2.) Art of Drowning -- A.F.I.
3.) Ixnay on the Hombre -- the Offspring
4.) the Black Parade -- My Chemical Romance
5.) You'll Rebel To Anything -- Mindless Self Indulgence
6.) Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy -- Mindless Self Indulgence
7.) Hot Fuss -- the Killers
8.) Bleed American -- Jimmy Eat World
9.) Banana Wind -- Jimmy Buffet
10.) We Can't Dance -- Genesis
11.) Rumours -- Fleetwood Mac
12.) Deltron 3030 -- Del the Funkee Homo Sapiens
13.) Boston -- Boston
14.) In Search of Lost Chord -- the Moody Blues
15.) Outside Looking In (best of) -- the Gin Blossoms
16.) Moment of Glory -- the Scorpions with the Berlin Philharmonic

It is not uncommon for a little of each to be in a playlist. Shifting from Genesis to MSI tends to lead to brain hemorrhaging. Consult your physician before taking. May cause sudden death. Not for men who are breast feeding, pregnant, or may become pregnant.

Ooh, Art of Drowning was one of the albums I consider a runner up.

Art of Drowning is one of the most inspiring albums on that list artistically. The imagery is amazing, and it walks that fine line between edge and melody.

And I do like their new, emo stuff... but I miss the old way Davey Havoc used to sing :c Black Sails in the Sunset would be my next runner up.

I will just say that Sing The Sorrow and DU are not emo and resist the urge to go into a long rant that I usually prepare for such accusations.

And Davey had some sort of throat surgery, so he can't sing like used to anymore.
